Maiden voyage of my new BMW 1200RT motorcycle up Mulholland Drive to the famous Ed & Vern's Rock Store. A great meeting place for bikers all over Southern California. Jay Leno was there with an old 1950's Vincent motorcycle (does anyone know the year of this bike? Is it a Black Shadow?)

The normally "Shy" octopus at Long Beach's Aquarium of the Pacific comes out of her den to investigate my video camera. I am sure we were looking eye to eye. What a beautiful creature!
